FRAUD CONTINUES TO PREY ON CONSUMERS!
Several members have contacted Dakota Plains Credit Union that they have been receiving e-mails stating that their airline e-ticket and receipt are attached. All they need to do is click on the attachment. These e-mails have been coming from American Airlines and Delta Air Lines, per say. Be diligent and even if you did purchase a ticket recently do not open the attachment. Contact the airline company to verify they sent you an e-mail.
Another e-mail scam is that you have received a $50.00 gift card from Kohl's or CostCo. We advise you to not open any of these attachments as spy ware may be attached
Be skeptical of any e-mail, phone call or direct mail that you did not initiate business with. Those individuals involved with fraud are very smart and creative. They will continually come up with more inviting ways to scam consumers. If you have any questions regarding possible fraud please feel free to contact any Dakota Plains Credit Union office.
